About the role

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other developers to design and develop Appian-based applications
  • Develop custom plug-ins, interfaces, and services using Appian
  • Configure Appian environments, including user management, design, and integration with other systems
  • Design and develop Appian interfaces using Appian SAIL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to Appian development
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Appian applications
  • Collaborate on proof of concept and other activities as new Appian product and technical capabilities are released
  • Support federal client projects and maintain compliance with security clearance requirements

Requirements

  • US Citizenship and must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, etc
  • A MINIMUM of THREE (3) years of professional experience including at least THREE (3) years of experience in Appian development
  • Active Appian Associate Developer certifications and ability to achieve additional relevant certifications upon hire
  • Experience with Appian platform, including Appian SAIL, Process Modeler, Rules, etc
  • Experience with Java, SQL, and web services
  • Understanding of Appian development best practices
  • Ability to design and optimize business processes and integrate processes across disparate systems
  • Selected candidate must be able to work Eastern Standard Hours
  • Clearance Required: Ability to Obtain Public Trust
  • Nice-to-have: interpersonal skills, teamwork, facilitation, negotiation, problem-solving, ability to multi-task, high emotional intelligence
  • Nice-to-have: recent federal government software project experience or Federal Acquisition Management experience
  • Nice-to-have: prior Customer Help Desk support and/or production application support experience
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity/experience implementing low-code platforms
  • Nice-to-have: experience working in an agile development environment
  • Nice-to-have: understanding of responsible AI principles and model interpretability
