About the role
- Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professionals in support of our Department of Defense client.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures and DoD organizational structures
- Financial audit statements and audit readiness services
- Understanding of current trends in enhancing compliance with accounting and auditing standards within an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP)
- Understanding of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and federal financial management systems
- Support to the DoW financial statement audit remediation and sustainment strategy and execution, oversight and reporting, and audit infrastructure.
Requirements
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
- Bachelor’s degree
- TWO (2) years of experience in financial management, including providing financial management support to government clients such as audit/audit readiness, audit remediation, internal controls over financial reporting, and process improvement, in accordance with DoW financial management policies and procedures.
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Management/Administration (preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly synthesize information, learn new skills, and apply a variety of solutions to business and financial management challenges.
- One or more professional certifications strongly preferred, such as CPA, CIA, PMP, CGFM, and/or CDFM.
