About the role

  • Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professionals in support of our Department of Defense client by:
  • Executing A-123 / RMIC assessments
  • Supporting audit readiness/remediation activities, such as developing/updating process documentation (e.g., narratives, flow charts, etc.)
  • Testing or designing internal controls
  • Having knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures, and DoD organizational structures
  • Apply federal accounting, financial management, and audit knowledge/expertise when assisting with the development of solutions and providing recommendations to client

Requirements

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • THREE (3) or more years' experience supporting audit remediation efforts, including experience with audit readiness, internal controls testing, corrective action planning, and/or accelerated audit strategies
  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • THREE (3) or more years' experience supporting the Department(s) of the Air Force, Army, and/or Navy
  • Advanced Degree
  • Currently possess one or more of the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Program Management Professional (PMP), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM).
