About the role

  • Manage multiple large client engagements and day-to-day client relationships
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in healthcare planning, including facility master planning and/or ambulatory network design
  • Execute and oversee client deliverables, including synthesizing the strategic, financial, and operational implications of healthcare analyses
  • Provide benchmarking expertise on a wide range of payer and provider analytics including financial analysis, clinical performance, and operational efficiency
  • Regularly present findings and recommendations to clients, effectively communicating strategies and planning implications through verbal and written deliverables
  • Proactively identify and assess healthcare industry trends that can be utilized in client delivery.
  • Assist in the development of market-based growth strategies
  • Oversee, mentor, and develop Managing Consultants, Senior Consultants, and Analysts

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or related field
  • 15+ years of previous work experience in healthcare administration/management experience for a healthcare system and/or a consulting firm
  • 10+ years of Federal (i.e., Department of Veterans Affairs, Military Health System, or Indian Health Service) and/or major commercial healthcare regional service delivery planning experience
  • Experience providing healthcare delivery consulting services to Federal and/or major commercial healthcare systems
  • Demonstrated experience leading market-based or regional master facility planning or service delivery efforts
  • Experience conducting research and analysis required to support service line planning, including utilization forecasts, capacity analysis, and in-migration/outmigration studies
  • Understanding of provider financial modeling
  • Capacity to own multiple complex work streams, meet deadlines, and drive results under pressure
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills including experience presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated excellence in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Track record of efficiency, flexibility, creative problem-solving, self-motivation, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated success formally supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior staff, including ownership and guidance of their career development
