About the role

  • You will be responsible for the Public Relations department, coordinating the team and working in close exchange with the managing directors and department heads.
  • Further development of communication strategy & communication concepts
  • Close collaboration with the managing directors and other senior leaders
  • Supporting managers with their communication tasks
  • Managing internal communication measures (intranet, employee magazine)
  • Further development of the corporate identity and the “VertretungsNetz” brand
  • Overseeing media relations: building and maintaining journalist contacts and media partnerships
  • Writing press releases and various PR texts
  • Managing the website and social media channels
  • Media monitoring
  • Organizing press conferences
  • Planning and designing events
  • Leading and coordinating the PR team (2 employees)
  • Budget and resource responsibility

Requirements

  • Degree completed (PR, Communications or equivalent) from a university of applied sciences or university
  • Several years of professional experience in the social sector/NGO field
  • Excellent knowledge of the Austrian media landscape
  • Proficient use of MS Office and Canva
  • Excellent command of language; ability to adapt complex content for different target audiences
  • English language skills
  • Experience with digitization projects and process optimization
  • High digital literacy and strong affinity for social media
  • Positive, communicative personality with a professional presence
  • Creativity combined with solution-oriented thinking
  • A leadership style based on collaboration and mutual respect
