About the role
- Manage Group Benefits Operations applications and aligned Group Benefits Operations business function
- Lead a diverse team and have full leadership responsibility for development of the team
- Partner with senior business leaders to develop and execute the Group Benefits Digital and Retail strategy
- Accountable for delivery of initiatives, manage financials and ensure operational stability of Group Benefits Operations Technology
- Be responsible for the development and execution of Group Benefits Operations Technology strategy
- Apply in-depth knowledge of how your area integrates with Group Benefits businesses and across Guardian Life
- Financial management of the initiatives, team and function
- Accountable for all technology related to Group Benefits Operations applications
- Oversee multiple functions and drive performance, efficiency, and effectiveness from engineering and development teams
- Ensure alignment with Guardian Life and overall Digital and Technology objectives
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for technology related initiatives
- Be accountable for the Operations application performance, make recommendations for enhancements
- Drive simplification and automation of Operations Technology applications and platforms
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and leaders across Group Benefits and Guardian Life
- Anticipate and respond to major technology evolutions, industry trends, and emerging technologies
Requirements
- Proven business oriented and knowledge Technology executive with a strong understanding of how technology can drive ROI and business growth.
- Ability to provide visionary direction and effectively lead the IT and software departments, aligning technology initiatives with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Directly delivered applications improving customer experiences and driving revenue
- Strong understanding of end to end customer experiences and processes and the capability to leverage technology to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Excellent skills in planning, executing, and overseeing technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives.
- Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Significant Experience in Agile and Global large-scale programs
- Significant experience leading, overseeing support of applications
- Significant Experience managing third-party outsourcers and managed service relationships
- Significant Experience in software development engineering and release management
