About the role
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of External Affairs programs, activations, initiatives, and sponsorships across the United States
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple initiatives
- Coordinate with internal teams and agency partners to support program execution and delivery, including managing agencies against approved scopes of work, timelines, and costs
- Support national and regional event planning including logistics coordination and onsite execution, including post-event summaries, impact narratives, and leadership-ready briefs that distill outcomes, risks, and recommendations
- Monitor program milestones and risks and escalate issues as appropriate
- Support documentation, reporting, and synthesis of program insights and learnings
- Maintain operational tracking and documentation aligned with External Affairs governance and compliance expectations
- Execute Program‑level budget planning, forecasting, and cost control, ensuring alignment with approved funding, timelines, and External Affairs priorities
- Monitor agency spend, track variances, and proactively flag budget or scope risks, escalating as needed to maintain financial and operational alignment
- Ensure visibility of External Affairs activities and timelines across internal matrix partners
- Support coordination of cross functional activities and ensure compliant collaboration across teams
- Contribute ideas and insights that strengthen External Affairs programming and reflect community needs and emerging opportunities
- Engage with community stakeholders to support External Affairs priorities and programming
- Attend meetings, site visits, and community events supporting External Affairs initiatives
- Conduct grantee and partner visits to support relationship development and program delivery
- Support execution of national and regional events and activations as needed
- Attend conferences, meetings, and community engagements to identify emerging community needs and opportunities
- Serve as a connector across internal functions to support aligned messaging and coordinated engagement
- Balance program management and stakeholder engagement responsibilities through proactive planning
- Align travel and engagement activities with program priorities and key milestones
- Partner with the Director, External Affairs Programming to manage workload and priorities during peak execution periods
- Identify potential capacity or travel challenges and support solutions to maintain program delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree & 5 plus years of experience in program management OR community engagement OR public health AND/OR pharmaceutical roles
- Experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Ability to travel domestically, including occasional overnight travel
- Valid driver’s license
