About the role

  • Develops and supports the implementation of the global patient recruitment and retention plan for each study
  • Including proactively monitoring recruitment plans and defined KPI measures
  • Support and coach SDLs/central team in implementing aspects of their patient recruitment and retention plan
  • Providing additional support to central study team by collecting, reviewing data and re-working aspects of the strategic plan when intervention is deemed necessary
  • Post strategy development, lead (and support where appropriate) clinical study teams, vendors and CRO as applicable
  • Responsible for understanding the internal landscape of recruitment vendors, services available, pricing models, and historical vendor performance to advise study teams as necessary
  • Work cross-functionally with internal groups including as needed to ensure full comprehension of services, support and requirements
  • Work with central study team stakeholders to ensure understanding of enrolment challenges and barriers for early planning of recruitment support
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability through effective problem solving
  • Ensures that patient recruitment and retention plans are aligned with study recruitment projections
  • Discusses and agrees trigger points for recruitment/retention mitigation strategies with Study Delivery Lead (and wider study team as needed)
  • Supports collaboration between cross functional teams in the implementation of patient recruitment and retention strategies and tools
  • May act as Subject Matter Expert
  • Evaluates and tracks vendor performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or relevant field
  • 7+ years relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Five or more years of clinical operations experience preferably across multiple TAs and phases of development in Rx and Vx
  • Five or more years of experience in developing and executing strategies for clinical trials, diversity & inclusivity, digital and patient engagement action plans or solutions
