About the role

  • Design solutions for complex problems that regularly require creativity and innovation.
  • Contribute to the development of new applications, techniques, and standards, demonstrating ownership.
  • Represent the organization as the technical point of contact in contracts and projects.
  • Interact with external personnel on technical matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Guide the team to follow standards and best practices. Seek references to apply best practices and improve development and architecture standards.
  • Lead and take responsibility for incident and failure resolution.
  • Drive monitoring efforts within your team. Monitor and analyze platform performance, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
  • Architect services and systems using design patterns. Anticipate future use cases and make design decisions that minimize the cost of future changes.
  • Communicate and act on blockers, delays, and cost escalation prevention in your team's projects before issues require escalation.
  • Contribute to and encourage a culture of continuous improvement in your team's practices and processes. Promote and participate in technical and functional refinements.
  • Stay close to the users/customers impacted by the team's digital products and influence others on the team to do the same.

Requirements

  • Experience designing, implementing, and deploying software solutions to production, preferably in industrial environments.
  • Experience defining architecture and integrating SCADA, PIMS, MES, and LIMS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial systems (SCADA, PIMS, MES, LIMS) and industrial automation protocols (OPC, MQTT).
  • Autonomy, strong critical thinking, and the ability to adapt to different industrial scenarios and operations.
  • Experience implementing complex, interactive features using development best practices.
  • Advanced English to conduct activities with foreign vendors and developers.
  • Experience working in technology teams, digital product squads, and new development projects.
  • Knowledge of industrial network infrastructure and OT cybersecurity (e.g., IEC 62443 standard).
  • Preferred knowledge of Python, C, C#, and JavaScript.
  • Preferred experience with PI System and WinCC.
  • Preferred experience working with SQL databases and Google BigQuery.
