About the role

  • People Leadership: Direct management of the development team, focusing on individual growth through 1:1s, regular feedback, and career plans.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure product stability and technical quality, enforce good development practices, and monitor productivity metrics.
  • Product & Business Vision: Build the squad's vision and mission with the team, and define and monitor product health, performance, and business success metrics.
  • Facilitation & Collaboration: Remove impediments, navigate the company to coordinate strategic partnerships, and lead cross-team initiatives.
  • Architecture & Technical Strategy: Contribute to solution design and the strategic roadmap, identify technical risks, estimate efforts, and refine user stories.

Requirements

  • **What we’re looking for (Requirements):**
  • Established Leadership: Previous experience leading software engineering teams in digital product environments.
  • Talent Management: Proven expertise in career development and mentoring of software developers.
  • Agile Product Lifecycle: Deep experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and strong understanding of the digital product lifecycle.
  • Technical Background: Solid knowledge of Solution Architecture, cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and REST/event-driven patterns.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to conduct root cause analysis and use data to support improvements and decision-making.
  • Soft Skills: Comfortable in dynamic environments with facilitation and conflict-resolution skills.
  • **Plus (Desirable):**
  • Practical knowledge or familiarity with the Node.js and React ecosystem, Java/Kotlin.
  • Strong critical focus on performance and software security at scale.
