About the role
- People Leadership: Direct management of the development team, focusing on individual growth through 1:1s, regular feedback, and career plans.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure product stability and technical quality, enforce good development practices, and monitor productivity metrics.
- Product & Business Vision: Build the squad's vision and mission with the team, and define and monitor product health, performance, and business success metrics.
- Facilitation & Collaboration: Remove impediments, navigate the company to coordinate strategic partnerships, and lead cross-team initiatives.
- Architecture & Technical Strategy: Contribute to solution design and the strategic roadmap, identify technical risks, estimate efforts, and refine user stories.
Requirements
- **What we’re looking for (Requirements):**
- Established Leadership: Previous experience leading software engineering teams in digital product environments.
- Talent Management: Proven expertise in career development and mentoring of software developers.
- Agile Product Lifecycle: Deep experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and strong understanding of the digital product lifecycle.
- Technical Background: Solid knowledge of Solution Architecture, cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and REST/event-driven patterns.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to conduct root cause analysis and use data to support improvements and decision-making.
- Soft Skills: Comfortable in dynamic environments with facilitation and conflict-resolution skills.
- **Plus (Desirable):**
- Practical knowledge or familiarity with the Node.js and React ecosystem, Java/Kotlin.
- Strong critical focus on performance and software security at scale.
