About the role

  • Serve as the focal point and provide support for architectural decisions, promoting best practices and mentoring less senior developers.
  • Develop and maintain the OMS (Order Management System), ensuring performance and resilience for high-volume, mission-critical operations.
  • Lead refactoring of legacy code and elimination of technical debt, improving the overall quality of the codebase.
  • Implement onboarding of new brands to the platform and manage the complexity of hybrid inventories (Physical Stores, Distribution Centers, and Reseller Locations).
  • Work with pair programming and actively participate in System Design discussions to ensure the application’s scalability.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in PHP
  • Strong experience with Laravel
  • Deep expertise in data modeling and performance for relational and non-relational databases
  • Strong knowledge of Redis and advanced caching strategies
  • Regular practice with Design Patterns, Unit Testing, and Observability
  • Experience with AWS and Lambdas (required to maintain existing routines written in Python)
  • Experience with deployment pipelines using Git and GitHub Actions
  • Nice to have: Previous experience in E-commerce, Retail, or Logistics/OMS
  • Experience with Apache NiFi
  • Advanced Python: for optimizing or creating new Lambdas
  • Front-end: Familiarity with React and TypeScript (for occasional maintenance tasks)
