About the role
- Structure and manage the design office operations, defining tools, methods and a commercial strategy
- Lead and motivate a team of engineers and detailers/drafters in the structural design office
- Oversee technical design and structural sizing studies for reinforced concrete, steel and timber structures
- Ensure the quality, feasibility and compliance of deliverables (drawings, calculation reports, technical specifications (CCTP), detailed quantity estimates (DQE))
- Participate in design reviews, tender processes and coordination meetings with architects, project managers and contractors
- Provide technical project management (maîtrise d’œuvre technique) services
- Maintain technical and regulatory watch in the field of structural works and structures
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the business
Requirements
- Degree from an engineering school in civil engineering, building engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience (minimum 5 to 10 years) in structural works and/or structural engineering
- Knowledge of structural analysis and calculation, modeling and specialized software
