About the role
- Support the University of Edinburgh’s international student recruitment strategy by helping to grow and diversify the student population across key markets in South East Asia.
- Support international student recruitment activity across priority South East Asia markets, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, and the Philippines.
- Contribute to the delivery of the University’s international recruitment strategy and broader international objectives.
- Report to the International Recruitment Manager based in Edinburgh.
- Support the planning, development, and delivery of student recruitment, marketing, and conversion activities across the region.
- Assist with the identification of market opportunities and support initiatives designed to grow the University’s presence and student enrolments in assigned markets.
- Represent the University at education fairs, online webinars, and other recruitment events.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience or equivalent in a role related to education or international education, with an emphasis on recruitment.
- Fluent spoken English, with strong verbal communication skills and the ability and confidence to present to large audiences of differing stakeholders from prospective students and their parents to funding bodies.
- Knowledge and life experience with the UK education system and institutions.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including cultural sensitivity and the ability to communicate appropriately with a wide variety of people, ranging from prospective students and their advisers to senior university representatives and government officials.
- Ability to work independently, and to prioritise and meet tight deadlines; self-motivated, self-disciplined and reliable.
