About the role
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations — proactive and reactive — ensuring consistent, fair, and timely resolution of issues.
- Support performance management cycles, including calibration, review quality, and manager feedback coaching.
- Partner with leaders to identify performance trends and drive early interventions that promote growth and accountability.
- Design, deliver, and coordinate manager enablement and training programs focused on people leadership, feedback, and development.
- Partner with managers to strengthen leadership capability, navigate tough conversations, and support team engagement.
- Champion adoption of career ladders by coaching managers and employees on goal setting, performance alignment, and development conversations.
- Connect performance frameworks to ongoing growth and mobility discussions.
- Lead policy design, updates, and change management in collaboration with Legal, People Ops, and subject matter experts.
- Project manage rollout plans to ensure clarity, adoption, and alignment across teams.
- Partner with leaders on team effectiveness initiatives, engagement survey follow-ups, and culture-building efforts.
- Identify and advise on trends across the org to help improve inclusion, belonging, and employee experience.
Requirements
- 6+ years of progressive HR experience, with deep grounding in generalist or HRBP work.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, performance management, and manager coaching.
- Skilled communicator and relationship-builder — you earn trust quickly and influence thoughtfully.
- Experience designing or rolling out people programs and policies in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong judgment, empathy, and discretion when handling sensitive issues.
- A bias toward action, with comfort navigating ambiguity and scaling fast-moving environments.
- Passion for creating inclusive, equitable people practices that reflect Grindr’s mission and community
