About the role
- Lead, support, and grow a team of software engineers building products that help utilities detect, prevent, and respond to grid failures
- Establish and maintain a high technical bar through active participation in code reviews, design reviews, and architectural discussions
- Translate business and customer needs into clear technical direction, driving execution toward outcomes with real-world impact
- Champion agile best practices, ensuring teams plan effectively, deliver predictably, and continuously improve
- Invest deeply in people development by coaching engineers, building feedback loops, and developing future technical and people leaders
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing and developing software engineers across a range of seniority levels
- Strong software engineering foundation with the ability to meaningfully engage in system design and implementation details
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native systems and modern web stacks, including React, Python, and TypeScript
- Demonstrated focus on building high-quality, reliable systems, including evaluating technical tradeoffs and failure modes
- Comfort working in agile environments and adapting processes to support growing, evolving teams
- Ability to balance short-term delivery pressures with long-term technical strategy and platform health
