About the role

  • Collaborate with business teams to prepare and present data-driven visual content for customer projects and proposals.
  • Work with engineering teams to translate technical results into interpretable visuals for client-facing and internal applications.
  • Design and develop data visualizations and analytical dashboards that communicate insights from power system models, simulations, and AI-generated outputs.
  • Support data integration between analysis platforms, visualization tools, and customer-facing applications.
  • Identify and curate new datasets from internal and external sources.
  • Analyze time-series and non-relational data to uncover valuable insights.
  • Integrate AI tools into our software systems.
  • Tune and extend 3rd party AI agents.
  • Stay engaged with the latest data science and science news, standards, and emerging AI-driven solutions in data management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong coding skills in Python or equivalent, including experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and database interaction.
  • Ability to write well-documented, tested, and maintainable code.
  • Experience in applying machine-learning and AI applications to data analysis.
  • Knowledge of time-series analysis techniques and non-relational database concepts.
  • Able to leverage AI code development tools such as Cursor, Copilot, and Claude Code to accelerate development.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or related areas (preferred).
  • Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and other multi-agent architectures (preferred).
  • Proficiency with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and data warehousing solutions (preferred).
  • Familiar with data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance (preferred).
  • Familiar with RESTful APIs and Python web frameworks such as Flask and FastAPI (preferred).
  • Experience in the energy industry, including grid planning and operations (preferred).
