About the role

  • Further develop our product by integrating AI based on modern LLM architectures (multi-model strategy using different large language models)
  • Design, implement and optimize RAG architectures (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), utilizing our own vector database to connect domain-specific knowledge bases to LLMs
  • Design and develop an AI agent that actively assists end users in operating the software (agentic workflows, tool-calling, memory handling, guardrails)
  • Design an integration agent capable of automatically connecting and configuring interfaces to customer systems (e.g., REST, webhooks, events)
  • Technical and strategic evaluation (buy vs. build) in the area of Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), including market analysis, PoCs and architectural decisions
  • Build robust prompt and system architectures, including evaluation, testing, monitoring and performance optimization
  • Implement evaluation frameworks for LLM outputs (quality, hallucination rate, relevance, cost/benefit)
  • Integrate into existing backend and frontend systems, including API design, security and scalability
  • Work closely with the CTO, CEO, product management, UX/UI and backend teams to define AI features with clear business value

Requirements

  • You hold a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification that demonstrates relevant expertise
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience implementing production AI projects
  • Demonstrable experience with large language models (prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG)
  • Experience with embeddings and vector databases
  • API integration and backend development
  • Evaluation and monitoring of AI systems
  • Strong overview of the current LLM landscape (models, frameworks, agent approaches, open-source ecosystems)
  • Proficiency with common tech stacks (e.g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, REST, containerization, cloud environments)
  • Experience making architectural decisions (scaling, cost optimization, security, data protection)
  • Structured, analytical working style and ability to translate technical concepts into product value
