Accountant

• Review and issue customer invoices accurately and on time in accordance with contract terms; own accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances; assist in cash receipt application and bank reconciliations; maintain AR-related general ledger entries.
• Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to resolve billing issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist in managing the internal spend request (purchase order) process; evaluate impact of purchase requests on cash flow and encourage approval process adherence.
• Own the monthly spend variance analysis, identify root causes of unapproved spending, and implement remediation processes; work with spend request owners to ensure billing timing on open POs is accurate at quarter close.
• Own the expense accrual and deferral (prepaid expense) processes during the close cycle; coordinate commission and bonus accruals with Head of Sales and Head of Operations.
• Support the month-end close by reviewing the work of external bookkeeping partners and ensuring data integrity across systems.
• Assist in implementing process improvements to streamline billing, collections, and reconciliation workflows; participate in ad hoc projects such as financial reporting preparation, audit preparation, and systems migration and implementation.
