Help shape technical strategies for CDC modernization, migration, and enterprise integration initiatives.
Identify architecture discriminators, transition risks, and modernization pathways.
Design scalable hybrid cloud environments across Azure, AWS, and enterprise hosting platforms.
Develop architecture approaches for application migration, containerization, and enterprise integration.
Advise delivery teams on secure and compliant cloud architecture implementations.
Participate in architecture solution sessions and technical working groups.
Develop CONOPS, architecture diagrams, migration strategies, and implementation roadmaps.
Translate complex architecture concepts into executive-level briefings and technical graphics.
Provide insight into CDC cloud governance, OCIO infrastructure constraints, and enterprise integration patterns.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
15+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure architecture, or enterprise systems engineering.
10+ years designing and implementing enterprise cloud environments.
Direct experience supporting CDC or a large federal health agency in technology environments.
Experience with AWS and Azure enterprise deployments.
Experience implementing federal security standards, including NIST frameworks.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred - AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent certification.
Preferred - Experience supporting CDC platforms such as BioSense, surveillance systems, or research environments.
Preferred - Experience with hybrid cloud, GovCloud environments, and enterprise reliability engineering.
Preferred - Experience translating architecture concepts into executive-level documentation and visuals.
