About the role
- Technical project responsibility for commissioning, configuring and integrating Greenbone products
- Performing and automating vulnerability scans in heterogeneous networks
- Developing automation scripts and integrations using the Greenbone API (REST/XML)
- Analyzing customer environments for scalability, topology planning and deployment strategy
- Establishing and documenting vulnerability management processes according to best practices
- Conducting technical workshops, onboarding and training for customers
- Working closely with Support, Product Management and Sales to continuously improve solutions and processes
- Regularly supporting customers with vulnerability management operations as an external service provider (operational support)
- Responding flexibly to different customer-specific processes and producing documentation tailored to customer requirements
Requirements
- Solid hands-on experience with IT security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, network monitoring)
- Good knowledge of administering Linux and/or Windows servers
- Familiarity with virtualized infrastructures (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.) and their management
- Experience in network analysis, segmentation and topology design
- Initial experience with Greenbone/OPENVAS or willingness to quickly learn and develop expertise
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) — ideally with a focus on automation and API integrations
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced security screening
- Structured, independent working style with a strong customer focus
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in German and English for technical discussions
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (low; up to approx. 15% depending on assignment)
