About the role

  • Oversee core finance processes, ensuring robust financial controls, and driving operational efficiency across the finance function.
  • Own end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and employee expenses.
  • Lead process improvements and enforce financial policies across the business.
  • Manage and develop the AP team to ensure high performance and accountability.
  • Drive consistency and accuracy in invoice coding, ensuring alignment with financial reporting requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
  • Maintain cash flow management through effective AR and AP oversight.
  • Own the cash reconciliation process for Retail stores and Ecommerce platforms, investigating discrepancies appropriately.
  • Manage credit control to minimise aged debt and improve cash collection.
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements across finance operations.
  • Act as a key finance partner, providing guidance on financial processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial discipline and operational outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Finance Operations / Finance Manager role
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing finance teams
  • AAT Level 4 Qualification, or equivalent
  • Strong background in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and expense management
  • Solid understanding of financial controls, processes, and compliance requirements
  • Track record of delivering process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems
  • Exposure to system implementations or finance transformation projects
  • Excel and data analysis skills
