About the role
- Oversee core finance processes, ensuring robust financial controls, and driving operational efficiency across the finance function.
- Own end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and employee expenses.
- Lead process improvements and enforce financial policies across the business.
- Manage and develop the AP team to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Drive consistency and accuracy in invoice coding, ensuring alignment with financial reporting requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
- Maintain cash flow management through effective AR and AP oversight.
- Own the cash reconciliation process for Retail stores and Ecommerce platforms, investigating discrepancies appropriately.
- Manage credit control to minimise aged debt and improve cash collection.
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements across finance operations.
- Act as a key finance partner, providing guidance on financial processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial discipline and operational outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Finance Operations / Finance Manager role
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing finance teams
- AAT Level 4 Qualification, or equivalent
- Strong background in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and expense management
- Solid understanding of financial controls, processes, and compliance requirements
- Track record of delivering process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems
- Exposure to system implementations or finance transformation projects
- Excel and data analysis skills
