About the role

  • Effectively assist design/build proposal teams to prepare and submit competitively priced proposals
  • Prepare conceptual budgets for customers quickly and accurately
  • Complete understanding of MEP divisions of work
  • Analyze MEP subcontractor proposals
  • Precisely communicate about Gray’s culture and specific value-added programs
  • Provide market research, project lead evaluations, risk analysis
  • Seek new customers and manage existing customers
  • Review data and blueprints to determine material and labor requirements
  • Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data
  • Consult with customers, subcontractors, vendors to discuss and formulate estimates
  • Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with scope of work
  • Communicate and coordinate with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Estimators
  • Ability to “Size up opportunities” and make “Go/No Go” recommendations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • Minimum of ten years related experience and/or training
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications
  • May also be required to utilize software applications specific to the estimating field
  • Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment
  • Passion for collaboration and professional development.
