Technician

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical / electrical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic circuits, conveyor systems, and production machines
• Troubleshoot malfunctions to locate sources of problems by observing mechanical / electrical machinery in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance and electrical techniques; monitoring compliance
• Fabricate and repair parts by using machine shop equipment
• Test performance of electrical, electronic, or integrated systems or equipment
• Test performance of electrical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic multi-meters
• Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Prepare mechanical / electrical maintenance work reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends for historical logs

Maintenance Technician

• Responsible for performing machine maintenance and repair for all plant equipment.
• Follow the direction of the Maintenance Manager and complete work orders in an efficient manner.
• Ability to follow safe work practices in accordance with company policies, OSHA regulations and electrical code.
• Installs and repairs electrical systems, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components on machines and support equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, predictive maintenance, etc. on all production equipment.
• Occasionally work from elevated surfaces such as booms, scissor lifts, and ladders.
• Identify hazards and advise management of dangers associated with operating equipment.

Manager

• Supervise, direct and lead the daily activities of routine, outage and turnaround maintenance work performed by maintenance crews and assigned contractors as arranged through the Maintenance Planner to ensure employee safety, quality of work and identified goals are met
• Ensure that the job planning, material and services planning is accurate and effective
• Manages any urgent or breakdown jobs activities as required to keep equipment running and minimize downtime
• Provide a clean, organized and safe work environment and maintain area with weekly audits and safety walk-throughs
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following, implementing and enforcing Company safety standards, practices and procedures and complying with legal regulations
• Coordinate mechanical maintenance activities and train direct reports as necessary
• Responsible for maintaining all mechanical systems and equipment at the unit level including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, compressors, boilers
• Lead or assist in the investigation of all injuries, accidents and near-miss incidents in assigned area
• Meets maintenance operational standards by implementing productivity and quality standards to ensure proficient utilization of work group and equipment
• Ensure adherence to Labor Agreement, Company Policies and process standards
• Develop and implement cause and corrective actions for continuous improvement
• Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel toward expedient problem resolution
• Addresses routine personnel issues including training, coaching and counseling and disciplining subordinates
• Utilize sound human relations and communications skills to provide development of direct reports and motivation of staff resulting in a reliable and competent work force
• Provide ongoing maintenance support for all shifts by participating in the plant’s on call program. This includes evaluating and determining the course of action for maintenance incidents after hours and on weekends while on call and may require on-site supervision of the resolution to maintain operational efficiency
• Evaluate alternatives and make decisions in a fast-paced work environment
• Implement and maintain 5-S, Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles and continuously identify ways to reduce plant operating costs through lean concepts

Maintenance Associate Manager

General

• Perform manual labor duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while working under tight production deadlines.
• Responsible for trimming excess board scrap from loads using a pneumatic air gun.
• Arranges cases on a pallet, wraps and labels loads.
• Uses a PIV to move WIP and finished goods to palletizer.
• Occasionally moves stacks of cartons from pallets and places them into the feeder of the gluing machine/press.
• Responsible for performing quality checks on the cartons according to SOP's.
• Correctly labels corrugated cases.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the work area.
• Safely performs all tasks on and around the equipment.

Feeder Catcher

• To assist the Press Operator in any way needed to maximize speed and production
• Responsible for setting up the feeder end of the press
• Check roll size and roll basis weight at press.
• Make roll press ready.
• Have cylinders made-ready and ink at the press prior to changeover.
• Keep the press unwind loaded with paper.
• Maintain high degree of housekeeping in and around assigned area and work safely at position.
• Cut down make readies and scrap before the end of the shift.
• Dispose of outer wrap and scrap in proper place; empty trash; sweep floors; return ink to ink room.
• Clean printing plates before returning them to the mounting room.
• Assist other press crew members with press changeovers, and other tasks.
• Assist mounter in mounting room.
• Once qualified, assist in the instruction and training of new press helpers.

Press Helper

Operator

• Operate extruder to produce rolls that conform to all quality and profile specifications.
• Responsible for accurately completing and processing all documents necessary for tracking extrusion operations.
• Make process changes and roll changes.
• Inspecting quality during the extrusion process and/or finished rolls.
• Communicate pertinent information at shift change.
• Understand and practice all safety procedures and rules.
• Know the locations of and how to operate emergency stop buttons and fire extinguishers in your area.
• Provide relief to other team members as necessary.
• Follow standard operating procedures.

Production Operator

• Perform various cup machine related duties such as roll changes, maintaining ink and fluid levels, and making minor mechanical adjustments as required to run efficiently.
• Follow production schedule; inspect orders listed on assigned machines to determine current prints and necessary print changes.
• Prepare 3-4 cup machines for production; clean mandrel turret, inspect electrical cabinet, and load necessary materials.
• Start up machines and maintain fluid levels; troubleshoot as necessary and notify maintenance for large problems.
• Keep machine and area clean; conduct monthly cleaning and maintain production consistent with food safety and quality standards.
• Operate machines of other cup operators during breaks; follow given machine cleaning checklist and notify of any issues.

Cup Operator

• Responsible for assisting the department manager in the operations of the Finishing department
• Delegate work and schedule employees on Finishing machines
• Communicate with suppliers to order materials
• Work with the maintenance department to help repair machines
• Fill in for department manager in his absence
• Prepare daily work schedule (what jobs to run, what jobs need to be finished)
• Attend production and hot-list meetings to determine what jobs to run and discuss any production problems

Finishing Operator II

• Stacks cases from conveyor for finished goods
• Understands and aligns business operations and the Department to exceed customer expectations
• Picks up cartons from conveyor and stacks onto pallets
• Checks cartons for quality
• Stretch wraps pallets for finished goods inventory
• Prints and places load tickets on each case/pallet
• Assists Feeder/Packers
• Assists during breaks
• Hand packs into corrugated cases
• Manual sorting for defective jobs

General Labor

• Operate and maintain the Rotary/Platen cutter
• Continuous walking, standing, constant pulling and turning movements with cartons
• Position 5000-pound rolls of paper at the unwind station using an air pallet
• Comply with all safety, quality, productivity, and security procedures
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of operator documentation
• Complete quality checks on rolls before mounting on cutter
• Set up and maintain auto splicing unit
• Enter production order into RFGEN
• Communicate all machine and department issues effectively
• Makes roll size change adjustments
• Monitor the 5S system and take full ownership of working environment
• Assist Finishing Area as needed
• Complete preventative and routine maintenance on splicer unit

Cutting Operator

• Loading skids of board to maintain continuous run of the press
• Troubleshoot feeders to ensure board is properly loaded
• Ability to read and follow job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully
• Adjusts press machine parts, such as feeder and delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, jogging devices, tapes, and cams, using hand tools
• Assist in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools
• Wash blankets and cleans ink and ink distributing rollers and ink fountains, using ink solvent and cleaning mechanism on press
• Assists the pressman in any maintenance of the press
• Performs other duties as required to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the Company

Roll Tender – Feeder

• Set-up make-ready and oversee all operations of assigned equipment.
• Train new crews to perform their jobs to standard.
• Work and communicate with other departments to assure quality cartons are produced.
• Get, read, and follow all information on job jacket.
• Correctly set-up make-ready; physically and mechanically inspect equipment.
• Run quality cartons at or above standards.
• Constantly check cartons for quality.
• Perform maintenance to prevent breakdowns and reduce down times.
• Report emergency repair needs and log needed future repairs.
• Keep work area clean.
• Complete reports and other paperwork correctly and neatly.

Finishing Operator Assistant

QA Engineer

• Lead the quality assurance testing as defined by plant management or customer specification
• Interpret organization/customer requirements related to product specifications
• Lead audit quality checks and procedure compliance
• Perform and monitor quality checks in all departments to ensure defects do not occur
• Train operators on how to identify and prevent product defects and quality checks
• Achieve SQF and HACCP certifications and train New Hires to GMPs
• Troubleshoot defects and determine the correct course of action

Quality Assurance

• Responsible for assisting Press - 1st Operator with running printing press and maintaining top quality printing.
• Understand and align business operations and Printing Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations.
• Assist Press - 1st Operator with maintaining quality of printed sheets.
• Examine for proper color, register, copy, position and detect unnecessary markings per the Printing Department Control Plan.
• Assist with determining the cause of printing problems and adjust press to correct these issues.
• Assist in the maintenance of the press. Keep water tank, ink fountain and blanket wash units full.
• Assist crew in press-make readies by preparing materials needed for new printing job and cleaning of press, including washing blankets and cleaning rollers.
• Perform duties of Press - 1st Operator or Feeder when needed to keep press running.
• Assist with monthly Preventative Maintenance which includes cleaning, greasing and oiling the press.
