About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for assisting the department manager in the operations of the Finishing department
Delegate work and schedule employees on Finishing machines
Communicate with suppliers to order materials
Work with the maintenance department to help repair machines
Fill in for department manager in his absence
Prepare daily work schedule (what jobs to run, what jobs need to be finished)
Attend production and hot-list meetings to determine what jobs to run and discuss any production problems

Requirements

What you’ll need

Good technical knowledge of Finishing machines
Ability to communicate with employees and plant management
Must speak, read, and write in English
Must be flexible: Able to work other shifts, overtime, and Saturdays when needed
Physical requirements: Ability to lift 40 lbs. without strain and stand for 8-12 hours
