• Provide accurate and continual communications to internal and external customers on any aspect of order fulfillment

Operations

• Plans, directs and manages production operations of multiple departments
• Supports and assists Plant Manager in daily operations of facilities
• Develops, recommends, and implements operating policies
• Coordinates and collaborates with all departments of the plant
• Manages employees by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and assessing performance
• Provides leadership directed at continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity
• Drive the LEAN Sigma process throughout the facility
• Serve as the Plant Champion focusing efforts on continual improvement and process change
• Drive overall plant performance and compliance with quality standards

Operations Manager

Software Engineer

• Provide support for improvement projects at the West Monroe Mill
• Depending on area assigned and major, you may work with projects that involve process improvements, equipment reliability, process control, and/or support trials and investigations of new technologies
• Drive best practices in safe operations and ensure the safety of all operations, maintenance, and staff personnel
• Lead one or more projects that will be started and completed within the summer
• Assist in writing standard operating procedures and training manuals
• Provide engineering support to other departments, as needed
• Present to the department periodically, and to the Lead Team at the end of the internship

Engineering Intern I

• Provide support for improvement projects at the West Monroe Mill.
• Work with projects that involve process improvements, equipment reliability, and process control.
• Drive best practices in safe operations and ensure the safety of all operations, maintenance, and staff personnel.
• Analyze data and present it in usable formats.
• Lead one or more projects that will be started and completed within the summer.
• Assist in writing standard operating procedures and training manuals.
• Provide engineering support to other departments as needed.
• Present to the department periodically and to the Lead Team at the end of the internship.

Engineering Intern

• Provide support for improvement projects at the West Monroe Mill

• Be a self-starter, self-directed, and take initiative to move forward with ideas while being committed and able to work with and influence others
• Must learn quickly to analyze data and present it in usable formats
• Lead one or more projects that will be started and completed within the summer
• Assist in writing standard operating procedures and training manuals
• Provide engineering support to other departments, as needed
• Present to the department periodically, and to the Lead Team at the end of the internship

Engineering Intern II

• Direct the Quality and Continuous Improvement Process for the GPI facility
• Meet and maintain all divisional Quality Process Management objectives as established by GPI
• Direct the activities, duties, and projects of the QC and Lab Technicians to assure compliance to customer specifications
• Serve as the plant’s contact for customer complaints and customer compliance audits
• Maintain reporting systems for internal and external complaints within SAP in accordance with GPI requirements
• Direct the development of SPC in both production and QC areas necessary to maintain a level of process control
• Execute and manage CI initiatives including Six Sigma, Process Improvement, and Lean projects
• Track and report all financial validated savings through the GPI Project Tracking Database
• Communicate plant quality expectations and monitor performance relative to the objectives
• Shared responsibility for compliance with all facility product safety (GMP’s)/Sanitation policies and procedures

Continuous Improvement Manager

• Provides leadership to the Finishing Department
• Facilitates department meetings, intervenes as necessary
• Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety, food defense, and quality policies and procedures
• Promotes and maintains a safe work environment
• Ensures departmental compliance with quality standards
• Accountable for achieving production targets, quality benchmarks, and operating within budget
• Leads and manages departmental performance
• Collaborates with other department leaders to align strategies and resolve operational challenges

Finishing Manager

• Accountable for all processes/teams associated with manufacturing, engineering, and production
• Responsible for monitoring and achievement of operational and financial results
• Manage experienced professionals and subordinates to achieve department objectives

Plant Manager

• Manage and direct the activities of department managers and plant staff by developing and reviewing operating plans, establishing objectives to ensure productivity, quality, cost control, and scheduling goals.
• Coordinates plant and division/corporate resources to resolve material, process, and production problems in the plant.
• Partners with the Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to ensure a safe environment for all employees and visitors by developing and implementing a comprehensive safety and emergency response program, effective training of all employees and complies with all federal, state and local laws.
• Ensures developing and implementing annual operating plans and timely resolution of deviation from budget to meet financial objectives of the plant.
• Directs and organizes all plant departments to ensure adequate supply of high-quality products, implements quality manufacturing processes and control programs to meet or exceed customer specifications.
• Responsible for developing effective plant operations, optimizing production schedules, continually improves production efficiencies, scrap rates and product quality throughout the operation and supports the six sigma/LEAN process.
