About the role

  • Assist in the day-to-day delivery of a wide range of Recovery & Reoganisation assignments
  • Undertake investigative accounting reviews to diagnose issues, understand a company’s financial position and future prospects and advise stakeholders on the options available
  • Plan insolvency engagements including receiverships, voluntary administrations, and liquidations
  • Execute insolvency appointments involving tasks such as trading businesses, sale of business and asset realisation processes, close down and exit strategies, financial investigations and developing and bringing legal claims
  • Supervise engagement and correspondence with a range of stakeholders including banks, employees, Inland Revenue Department, creditors, suppliers and shareholders on all aspects of an engagement
  • Build your brand in the market, developing and strengthening existing relationships with law firms, banks, government organisations, and other key referrers

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience working on insolvencies and restructuring engagements
  • Experience managing insolvency engagements from inception to closure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to critically think and solve problems
  • Very good written and oral communication skills
  • A commerce degree together with CA or CPA qualifications
  • Previous exposure to a variety of organisations and industries
  • A client focussed approach to work
  • The ability to working as part of a team but also autonomously
