About the role

  • As a Staff Engineer, you will be one of our top technical references. More than setting rules, your role is to be a facilitator — helping the team see beyond the immediate and ensuring our technological choices today support our growth tomorrow.
  • Act as a right-hand to squads, collaborating with product and engineering leadership to design the future of our web platforms.
  • Design and maintain architectures that withstand high traffic volumes, treating Performance and SEO not as an “extra” but as part of the code’s DNA.
  • Lead technically complex, end-to-end solutions, ensuring planned work reaches the end user with excellence and reliability.
  • Help establish and propagate coding standards, libraries, and methodologies that raise the team’s quality bar.
  • Mentor other engineers, fostering an environment where continuous learning and autonomy are the norm, not the exception.
  • Be present in the team’s day-to-day. We value people who enjoy solving complex problems but who also support the team with routine tasks to maintain delivery pace and quality.
  • We are looking for someone who understands that user experience and search engine visibility are engineering problems.
  • Lead the implementation of Rendering strategies (SSR/ESR), indexing, and Core Web Vitals optimization on high-volume platforms with thousands of URLs.
  • Design solutions that improve crawlability, optimize sitemaps, and canonical structures from the outset.
  • Optimize vital metrics (LCP, CLS, INP) using techniques such as advanced caching, lazy loading, and code splitting.
  • Ensure HTML quality and the implementation of structured data (Schema.org), making sure our content is indexed in the best possible way.

Requirements

  • Full Stack: Strong experience in Front-end (React, TypeScript) and Back-end (Node.js).
  • Databases: Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, Redis).
  • Caching: Knowledge of Browser, Server and CDN caching to reduce latency and improve TTFB.
  • Infrastructure basics: Familiarity with Docker, RESTful APIs and CI/CD pipelines.
  • SEO & Performance: Ability to use diagnostic tools such as Search Console, Chrome DevTools and Lighthouse to guide technical decisions.
  • Leadership soft skills: Clear communication to resolve technical conflicts and the ability to translate engineering challenges into business value.
  • Experience with Cloudflare, Workers, ESR (Edge Side Rendering); knowledge of Google services such as GTM, GCP, GA4; AWS; other technologies like Vue.js/Nuxt.js, Tailwind or PHP/WordPress environments; editors/tools like Cursor AI and AI agents for task optimization; conversational English.
