Contribute to an end-to-end research project that directly supports your team’s high-level goals.
Help design, plan, and run user research studies (e.g., interviews, usability testing, surveys) to uncover insights about user needs and behaviors.
Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights that inform product and design decisions.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and fellow researchers to deliver impactful solutions grounded in user evidence.
Learn and apply a variety of research methods across qualitative and quantitative approaches, depending on project needs.
Gain experience working in cutting-edge AI product spaces, helping the team understand how people interact with AI-powered features.
Build your research skills in a supportive environment, while contributing to products used by tens of millions of people every day.
Requirements
Can collaborate in person in our San Francisco hub at least two days per week.
Is available for the entire duration of a twelve-week program.
Is currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Human–Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, Sociology, Human Factors, Information Science, or a related field
Has a resume and, if available, examples of research projects or case studies from coursework, passion projects, or previous internships.
Has familiarity with user research methods (e.g., interviews, usability testing, surveys) through academic or practical experience.
Is comfortable using collaboration and documentation tools (e.g., Figma/FigJam, Miro, Google Docs) and is open to learning research-specific tools (e.g., Qualtrics, UserTesting, dscout).
Demonstrates strong problem-solving and communication skills, especially when articulating research findings and collaborating cross-functionally.
Is curious, adaptable, and eager to learn from mentorship and hands-on experience in a fast-moving environment.
Is excited to contribute to research that directly informs product decisions and impacts millions of users.
