About the role
- Understand client objectives and remain attentive and responsive to evolving client needs
- Demonstrate knowledge of market data and access to resources to respond quickly to new developments in clients’ businesses
- Oversee support for tasks related to managed inventory to improve client understanding, increase touchpoints within the client group, and drive sales results
- Understand Grainger’s value proposition by delivering solutions that increase profitable sales volume
- Develop account-penetration strategies, including regular reviews of key customers’ business activities to maximize sales
Requirements
- More than 2 years’ experience in outside direct sales (or equivalent experience in inside sales or marketing)
- Sales forecasting, opportunity management, and account planning
- Process discipline and the ability to align planning objectives with a pipeline-development process to grow market revenue
- Ability to use sales processes to uncover customer objections and concerns and determine the appropriate solution
- High school diploma or GED (post-secondary education preferred)
