About the role

  • Provide full cycle recruitment; develops a recruiting strategy by employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, multi-faceted recruiting ideas, such as use of social media, search engines, referrals, networking, career fairs, job boards and other channels
  • Partners with departmental hiring managers to coordinate and manage the full life cycle recruiting process, including but not limited to gaining a thorough understanding of business unit needs and culture.
  • Assists managers with creating thorough and accurate job postings, evaluating candidates for best hires, and coaching managers on best practices around interviewing
  • Proactively establish and build pipelines in anticipation of workforce needs by partnering with HR and business leaders to gain understanding of workforce planning across the business.
  • Recruit active and passive talent through building and maintaining a network of potential candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management; demonstrate ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences through high offer-to-interview ratios
  • Source and assess qualified candidates, conduct in-depth interviews of potential candidates, coordinate scheduling interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials, such as booking travel and accommodations for out of state candidates
  • Be a storyteller and interview candidates by presenting Graham Packaging’s unique story as it relates to our company, products, and culture
  • Utilizes recruiting statistics and metrics to support existing recruitment efforts as well as support future initiatives
  • Creates and fosters relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit students/alumni and diverse candidates
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
  • Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives, including campus recruiting and job fairs
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with all candidates to keep them engaged through the hiring process, provide an exceptional candidate and business partner experience through the hiring process
  • Initiate and review background checks and drug screens through third party vendor

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Three to five years of experience managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process for both hourly and salary positions
  • Experience in manufacturing recruitment with at a high volume recruiting pace
  • Knowledge and experience of recruitment at all levels of the business
  • Strong proficiency in all area of full lifecycle recruiting including, but not limited to: sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, wage and salary trends, and relationship management required
  • Experienced in all forms of current online sourcing tools, techniques and networking as well as emerging trends and resources as it relates to recruitment
  • Experience working with an ATS and HRIS for sourcing, tracking and managing candidates and jobs, experience with ADP, SmartRecruiters, iCIMS and iCIMS TextRecruit a plus
  • Experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships
  • Ability to execute recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management
  • Knowledge of structured and behavioral interviewing techniques
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, strong relationship building skills required
  • Excellent attention to detail and discretion with regard to confidential information
  • Proven negotiation skills with the ability to influence internal stakeholders
  • Creative and innovative thinker with proven good judgement
