About the role

  • Conduct needs assessments, task analyses, and job analyses to identify performance gaps and define training requirements.
  • Translate analysis into learning strategy, design documents, and solution recommendations.
  • Design Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual ILT (VILT), and Web-Based Training (WBT) for technical and automotive manufacturing audiences.
  • Create design documents, storyboards, scripts, architecture reviews, and curriculum maps.
  • Write compelling, scenario-driven instructional content that simplifies complex mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing concepts.
  • Develop structured curricula based on specific equipment, machinery, production processes, and job pathways.
  • Create video-based work instructions and performance support materials.
  • Maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables; partner with Business Operations, project managers, and client leaders.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Applied Science or Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, course development, or technical training development.
  • Demonstrated excellence in ILT, VILT, and WBT development.
  • Strong technical writing skills — able to break down complex manufacturing concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency with: Articulate Storyline & Rise, Vyond or Synthesia, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience creating technical training, video-based instructions, or manufacturing-related content.
