About the role
- Provide legal advice and guidance to inform Tribunal operations and decisions
- Develop and lead training for members and staff
- Assess risk related to organizational decisions and operations
- Provide expert legal advice to facilitate timely resolution of applications
- Advise on corporate matters aligning with Government of Alberta policies
- Represent the Tribunal in appeals and judicial review matters
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- A minimum of four (4) years experience as a qualified legal practitioner
- Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
- A minimum of 6+ years of directly related experience in administrative law (preference)
- Knowledge and experience of stakeholders and related legislation is an asset
