About the role

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to inform Tribunal operations and decisions
  • Develop and lead training for members and staff
  • Assess risk related to organizational decisions and operations
  • Provide expert legal advice to facilitate timely resolution of applications
  • Advise on corporate matters aligning with Government of Alberta policies
  • Represent the Tribunal in appeals and judicial review matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • A minimum of four (4) years experience as a qualified legal practitioner
  • Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
  • A minimum of 6+ years of directly related experience in administrative law (preference)
  • Knowledge and experience of stakeholders and related legislation is an asset
  • Cover Letter explaining skills and qualifications relevant to the role
