About the role
- Conduct desk and field audits and reviews of low and medium complexity
- Perform audit planning, sample selection, develop audit programs
- Complete substantive audit testing
- Ensure returns are reported accurately under the Acts and Regulations administered
- Identify potential regulatory or policy issues
- Provide comprehensive analysis and detailed recommendations to senior management
Requirements
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation preferred
- University graduation in commerce, accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in audit, the oil and gas industry, accounting, royalty, or tax administration
- Knowledge of Alberta's corporate tax, commodity tax or royalty regimes
- Experience auditing tax or royalty programs
- Proficiency with data analytics tools and techniques
