About the role
- Create marketing plans, copywriting and copyediting, segmenting audiences, conducting market research, and engaging audiences to register for various events
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies, including email and social media marketing, digital advertising, and more
- Focus on email and website marketing, and event marketing for virtual and in-person events
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns to drive registrations and attendance to multiple events at a given time
- Create unique and engaging marketing copy and design across emails and social media
- Employ email best practices for send times, subject lines, list segmentation, formatting, and deliverability
- Analyze KPIs and success metrics to adapt and shape marketing strategy in real time, including registration pacing and event show-rates
- Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders to meet campaign objectives
- Collaborate with teams, including sales, to ensure materials are up to date
- Staff in-person events in the Washington, D.C. area
- Assist sister company ATARC in event marketing efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in an event marketing role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexibility and interest to learn new skills, technologies, and industry trends
- Initiative to drive new ideas forward in the marketing industry
- Familiar with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, and Google Suite
- Experience with HTML, Sailthru, or email marketing is a plus
- Experience with social media is a plus
