About the role
- Manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support Windows servers (Windows 2019 and 2022) for a mixed customer environment
- Plan, execute, and implement new system hardware and software; manage new SW/HW integrations
- Create and maintain team technical instructions, operating procedures, and policies
- Monitor and tune system performance; ongoing operation, hardening of servers, and reporting security and operational status
- Recommend improvements to the enterprise and implement technologies to expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies
- Provide utilization reports using existing tools to identify problems and corrective actions
- Support lifecycle of vendor equipment in datacenter including firmware version control and preventive maintenance
- Provide support toward disaster recovery and follow SOPs
- Collaborate with Windows team and stakeholders; communicate status and recommendations
Requirements
- High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience)
- Clearance Required: Secret
- CompTIA Security+
- Computing Environment (CE) Certification can be waived for 30 days after project join date
- Experience in Computer Science or IT
- 5+ years' experience as a Windows Systems Administrator or Engineer with 3+ years’ experience in automating assigned tasks
- 5+ years’ installing, configuration, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex applications and websites (IIS, Apache, etc.)
- 5+ years’ experience working in an environment with complex networking solutions; senior level knowledge in networking principles, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP
- Five or more years’ experience managing enterprise level Active Directory Structures
- 5+ years’ experience creating and maintaining complex MS Group Policy implementations
- 5+ years' experience creating, maintaining, following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution
- Strong interpersonal skills and willing to be a team player
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science
- Preferred: 3+ years’ experience supporting Cybersecurity patch management and STIG, SRG, RMF, SCA-V, CORA
