About the role
- Perform full lifecycle contract administration and acquisition response activities supporting GovCIO’s National Security Sector
- Maintain contract administration responsibility over an assigned portfolio of projects
- Prepare and disseminate information regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, and negotiation
- Prepare and process specification, progress, and other reports
- Advise management of contractual rights and obligations
- Compile and analyze data, and maintain contractual files and historical information
- Administer and support negotiation of standard and nonstandard contracts, including examination of requirements, analysis of terms and conditions, and evaluation of risk
- Support acquisition activities including assessment of requirements, proposal preparation, and submissions
- Draft, issue, review, and maintain contractual instruments such as NDAs, Teaming, and Subcontract Agreements
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders regarding contract administration, proposal, and business needs
- Monitor and administer contracts for conformance with requirements and compliance with FAR/DFAR
- Review solicitations and support responses for proposals and associated contract acquisition activities
- Prepare, process, organize and maintain contractual actions, records, and files documenting performance and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5-8 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 3+ years of prior relevant experience
- Additional years of relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree
- At least 2-4 years of relevant federal contract experience specifically involving GSA Contracts (Schedules, GWACs, or IDIQs)
- Experience and knowledge in ITAR and EAR compliance preferred
- Experience in government contracting with emphasis on acquisitions, contract administration, negotiation, and performance management
- Experience with Administration of government contracts issued by Department of Defense agencies
- Preparation, review, analysis, and negotiation of contractual documentation and instruments
- Communication and interface with government contracting office personnel regarding contract administration
- Working knowledge of FAR and DFAR
- Strong business acumen and written/verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships internally and externally
- Comfortable working with executives and representing plans to senior leaders
