About the role
- Take charge of purchasing and inventory management activities for assigned stock keeping units (SKUs)
- Develop and execute material requirements plans to prevent production disruptions
- Maintain optimal inventory levels by minimizing excess stock, stockouts, and carrying costs
- Create, issue, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveries
- Monitor incoming deliveries, perform necessary follow-ups, and promptly resolve supply issues
- Support invoice validation and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with Finance teams and suppliers
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable service, compliant quality, and continuous improvement
- Work closely with Production, Logistics, Warehouse, and Quality teams to align material availability with operational needs
- Analyze inventory and purchasing performance metrics to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Recommend and implement process improvements aimed at cost optimization, just-in-time practices, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with Quality teams to address material non-conformity issues
- Ensure procurement practices comply with quality, food safety, and operational requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, materials planning, or supply chain
- Experience in the food, manufacturing, or consumer goods industry (asset)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Bilingual in French and English
