About the role

  • Take charge of purchasing and inventory management activities for assigned stock keeping units (SKUs)
  • Develop and execute material requirements plans to prevent production disruptions
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels by minimizing excess stock, stockouts, and carrying costs
  • Create, issue, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Monitor incoming deliveries, perform necessary follow-ups, and promptly resolve supply issues
  • Support invoice validation and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with Finance teams and suppliers
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable service, compliant quality, and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with Production, Logistics, Warehouse, and Quality teams to align material availability with operational needs
  • Analyze inventory and purchasing performance metrics to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
  • Recommend and implement process improvements aimed at cost optimization, just-in-time practices, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to address material non-conformity issues
  • Ensure procurement practices comply with quality, food safety, and operational requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, or a related field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, materials planning, or supply chain
  • Experience in the food, manufacturing, or consumer goods industry (asset)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Bilingual in French and English
