About the role
- Responsible for all design and calculations for solar PV electrical installations
- Provide technical support and installation specifications to the Project Manager and site team
- Ensure every installation meets quality and safety standards
- Develop the electrical system design and layout for solar PV supplies
- Create detailed electrical schematics and single-line diagrams
- Interpret requirements into accurate designs
- Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards
- Perform technical calculations for regulatory compliance
- Execute accurate cable calculations using software such as Amtech or Trimble
Requirements
- Proven work experience as an Electrical Designer
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Amtech or Trimble and other related software
- Excellent understanding of electrical design and electrical systems
- BSc degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Valid full driver's license
- Experience in the solar PV industry is a plus but not essential
