About the role
- Design, develop, program, and maintain PLC, HMI, and industrial control systems supporting manufacturing and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot automation, electrical, and controls- related issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations.
- Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment, automation systems, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to identify and implement automation improvements that enhance productivity, reliability, and safety.
- Maintain documentation for control systems including electrical drawings, software backups, and change records.
- Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance procedures for automation and control systems.
- Ensure automation systems comply with company quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations staff related to automation systems.
- Responsible for adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
- Works to improve the effectiveness of the quality management system through the use of the quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or other technically related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3– 5 years’ experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Experience with PLC programming ( such as Allen- Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
- Experience with HMI/ SCADA systems and industrial communication networks.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity and understanding of GMP ( Good Manufacturing Practices) environments preferred.
