About the role

  • Lead and supervise operational team safe work execution and actively support operational safety, health, risk and related campaigns and interventions
  • Lead and supervise Recruitment team operational delivery, ensuring effective execution of recruitment processes across the mine’s operational areas
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and development support to the Recruitment team to enhance their skills and performance
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including requisition initiation, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection
  • Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies to build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles
  • Coordinate with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand staffing needs and ensure alignment with workforce planning and organisational goals
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and generate reports to track time-to-fill, pipeline health, and compliance with Employment Equity targets
  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with relevant legislation, company policies, and safety standards
  • Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and service providers to optimize sourcing and selection outcomes
  • Resolve escalated recruitment issues and challenges promptly, ensuring a positive candidate and stakeholder experience
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the recruitment function to improve efficiency, candidate quality, and service delivery
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture focused on responsiveness, accountability, and professionalism

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Proficient in SAP SuccessFactors or similar HRIS platforms for recruitment management
  • Intermediate skills in Excel and Power BI
  • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test
