About the role

Architect and build Ceph clusters from the ground up, creating robust and scalable storage solutions
Engineer, deploy, and maintain the next generation of Ceph storage technologies
Manage a large-scale Linux environment, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance
Work closely with internal teams on cross-functional projects to deliver assets quickly and with high quality
Scope and model workloads to deliver custom solutions for object, block, and file workloads for internal applications and private cloud

4+ years of professional Ceph experience, architecting and building Ceph clusters from the ground up
4+ years of Ceph storage deployment, configuration, performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, integration, upgrades, and maintenance
Experience working with Ceph Reef
3+ years of experience in Python scripting and automation
4+ years of professional experience managing large-scale Linux server environments
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their storage services
Strong dev/ops skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
Experience with other distributed storage systems (e.g., GlusterFS, HDFS)
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
