About the role
- Analyze production costs, manufacturing variances and margins by product or production line
- Provide support to the controller in carrying out their tasks, as required
- Monitor financial performance indicators related to manufacturing operations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management
- Record accounting entries related to financial adjustments, provisions, depreciation or period-end corrections
- Identify variances between actual results and forecasts, and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and maintain financial models tailored to the manufacturing environment
- Support internal and external audits by supplying required analyses and documentation
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to optimize costs and improve profitability
- Perform account reconciliations (balance sheet, expenses, revenues, inventory, etc.) to ensure the accuracy of financial data
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in general accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling tools
- Knowledge of an ERP system
- Ability to understand manufacturing processes and translate operational data into financial analysis
