About the role
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets including electrical distribution, industrial, construction, transportation, and utility.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow revenue and market share.
- Prospect and qualify new customers, distributors, and OEM accounts.
- Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through closing and implementation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners and key accounts.
- Conduct customer visits, product presentations, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with distributors to identify growth opportunities and new applications.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers regarding product selection and solutions.
- Identify emerging market trends and customer needs.
- Promote our client’s custom cable assembly capabilities and engineering support.
- Work closely with product management and engineering to develop solutions for customer applications.
- Identify opportunities for new products or market expansion.
- Partner with inside sales, operations, and engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Assist with pricing strategies, quotes, and proposals.
- Support new product launches and marketing initiatives.
- Provide feedback from the field to improve product offerings and customer experience.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and sales activity reporting in CRM.
- Track key sales metrics and business development progress.
- Participate in sales meetings, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in manufacturing, electrical distribution, or industrial markets.
- Experience working with distributors and OEM customers preferred.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinking and market development capabilities
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Ability to travel to customer and distributor locations as required (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee)
