Creating mechanical designs for CPO products, including integrating PICs, EICs, substrates, and optical components.
Designing for manufacturability and yield, considering factors like assembly processes and material selection.
Creating detailed documentation, including BOMs (Bill of Materials) and drawings, for fabrication and assembly.
Collaborating with internal and external suppliers to ensure the final product meets specifications and performance requirements.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical, optical, and process engineers.
Ensures that all packaged products meet a standardized set of quality expectations by driving product packaging design reviews.

Requirements

MS, or PhD + 5 or more years of experience
Strong skills in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including thermal and structural analysis.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
