About the role
- Underwriting of businesses applying for Card Payments facilities
- Assessment/evaluation of feasibility of merchant business models in POS, MOTO and ECOM environments and associated risks
- Perform financial analysis based on financial statements and forecasts
- Assess business models for due diligence and compliance with payment institution guidelines
- Assess and interpret Credit Bureau Reports and verify ECOM websites meet card scheme requirements
- Approve merchant applications within granted credit authority and define required collaterals
- Proactively monitor the Merchant Portfolio and verify adherence to compliance and credit guidelines
- Perform periodic credit reviews of the portfolio and calculate reserves/collaterals based on credit exposure
- Communicate with sales channels and partners and participate in training of partners and merchants on risk management
- Collaborate closely with wider Credit Team members in other Global Payments locations
Requirements
- Experience underwriting businesses applying for Card Payments facilities
- Ability to assess merchant business models in POS, MOTO and ECOM environments
- Perform financial analysis based on financial statements and forecasts
- Ability to assess and interpret Credit Bureau Reports
- Knowledge of card scheme requirements and ECOM website due diligence (card due diligence)
- Authority to approve merchant applications within granted credit limits and define required collaterals
- Experience calculating reserves/collaterals based on credit exposure
- Experience monitoring merchant portfolios and conducting periodic credit reviews
- Knowledge of compliance requirements and credit guidelines for payment institutions
- Ability to communicate with sales channels, partners and provide training on risk management processes
