About the role
- Assess the effectiveness of existing controls, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes
- Drive controls enhancements focused on increasing efficiency and reducing risk
- Assist in the execution of Enterprise Risk Management Framework and adherence with Risk Management and Compliance Policies
- Contribute to the oversight of the MCA program, including attestation, quality oversight, and related reporting
- Perform assessment activities and processes as per required Policies, Standards and Procedures to strengthen risk management quality
- Manage issues with key stakeholders and participate in issue quality reviews ensuring compliance with Issue Management Policy
- Develop standardized risk and controls reporting to ensure sound, reliable, and consistent information
- Coordinate governance committee operations, manage agendas, and ensure follow-up on action items
- Support assessment & design, QA, Monitoring & Testing, Issue Management, and Governance Reporting & Analysis for end-to-end oversight
Requirements
- Experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions in the financial services industry
- Ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls
- Strong knowledge in the development and execution for controls
- Proven experience in control related functions in the financial industry
- Proven experience in implementing sustainable solutions and improving processes
- Understanding of compliance laws, rules, regulations, and best practices
- Understanding of Citi’s Policies, Standards, and Procedures
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities and processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage at the senior management level
