About the role

  • Formulation of Credit Policy
  • Supervise a team of local Credit staff and coach with Credit analytical skills and continuous improving the quality of Credit staff
  • Assisting Regional Director of Credit in managing all day-to-day Credit approval and Risk Management issues
  • Liaise with Business Head and Country Head for implementation and execution of credit recommendation with balancing business rewards and risks
  • Liaise with US Worldwide Credit and Risk team in managing portfolio risk in AP, Credit Policy formulation and resolve credit issues
  • Lead the implementation of system development which helps in managing portfolio risks and help business in tapping high risk segments with the systematic credit risk monitoring tools
  • Liaise with various departments and local Credit for internal audit by US HQ and implementation of audit recommendations
  • Liaise with Legal department for merchant agreements and collateral/risk mitigant correspondence/letters
  • Conduct credit assessment and approval on credit applications put forwarded by local credit in other Asian countries, make recommendations
  • Ensure local credit team in other Asian countries are in compliance with prevailing credit policies and guidelines and perform regular credit audit in local sites
  • Liaise with various parties to consider various risks in approval process
  • Conduct regular review on high risk and regional merchants
  • Monitor portfolio quality on an ongoing basis and recommend rating and collateral actions, make recommendations on how to improve the quality of portfolio
  • Prepare comprehensive credit reporting on regional deals to Executive Management for approval
  • Portfolio database management and post approval recording/monitoring and general risk portfolio management
  • Assist in streamlining process and look for improvement in effective credit risk controls
  • Effective control of department-related expense and participate in various ad-hoc projects

Requirements

  • University degree holder in Business Administration, Commerce and Finance , Accountancy or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in regional credit management
  • Strong people management skills
  • Strong database and portfolio management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, strong analytical and detailed- minded
  • Able to work under pressure and determined to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Reading and Writing in English
  • Excellent Excel Skills and well based in other MS Office Applications like Word and Powerpoint
