Analyze business requests to be solved with automated systems.
Formulate and design automated systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
Provide expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that meet user requirements and are within stated sizing estimates.
Configure system settings and options; plan and execute business design, assist in integration and acceptance testing, where necessary; and create specifications for system to meet business requirements.
Include analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
Functions as a liaison among internal and external clients as well as internal Software Engineers, Business partners, and leadership.
Assigned multiple projects submitted by existing clients on the TS1 and TS2 platform; act as a solution architect to facilitate cross-area solutions.
Clarify requirements with the client and confirm solution internally; host meetings both virtually and in person to facilitate reviews and requirements gathering.
Acts in a liaison capacity with other departments, divisions and organizations, and between client end-users, programmers and test analysts.
Understands client's strategic needs (profitability) and develops high-level client relationships and confidence in the solutions to their automation needs.
Provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice and experience to clients and management for client initiated requests.
Leverages expert knowledge of the complex nature of the client's business to recommend changes to existing systems or external vendor systems.
Consults with management to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage formatting, security requirements and levels of systems access.
Maintains communication with end-users and reviews other Business Analysts' feedback to ensure systems continually meet the client's expectations.
Analyzes complex/escalated problems/issues and offers alternative business solutions.
Leads meetings and discussions; makes recommendations impacting technical aspects of projects and programs.
Provides strategic guidance and expertise to analyze, interpret, develop and implement intricate business specifications and logical flowcharts for programmers.
Leverages system or module knowledge in the design of system screens and database structures.
Consults and coordinates with programmers to design and develop requirements and analyze feasibility of new systems and enhancements.
Prepares input for system design, including final report and screen definition, logical system flow and implementation plans.
Provides support to resolve potential issues that may cross multiple systems and affect the business process; tracks application incidents to resolution.
Identifies system impact of changes in the business, user needs, external business environment and operating systems.
Provides internal and external consulting services; plans, conducts and directs research and/or development work on complex projects.
Reviews and advises on documentation for client training and installation of systems and their upgrades; maintains procedures, methodology and/or application standards including payment card industry and security related compliance.
Assigns project work to Business Analysts frequently; plans development efforts and may act as a Project Manager.
Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains software deployment plans and communicates these plans to the user community.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Relevant Experience or Degree in: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field; or equivalent training or experience in lieu of degree
Typically Minimum 4+ Years Relevant Exp Professional experience working with end-users to meet business needs
Preferred: Typically Minimum 4-6+ Years Relevant Exp
Preferred: Scripting knowledge, bankcard industry knowledge, understanding data structures, professional experience working with end-users to meet business needs
Preferred: Working towards a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
Preferred: Previous TSYS Experience is highly preferred
Candidates must live locally in the area to be considered for Columbus, GA or Alpharetta, GA
Candidates in Columbus will work a Hybrid work model of up to 3 days in office
