About the role
- Provide comprehensive HR support to assigned business units by serving as a primary point of contact for managers and employees.
- Deliver responsive, client-focused guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, performance support, and day to day HR needs while promoting consistency, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
- Partner with leaders on workforce needs, support leave and accommodation processes, and escalate complex matters as appropriate.
- Build strong relationships with managers and employees to understand business needs and provide consistent, aligned HR guidance.
- Advise leaders on performance expectations, coaching, corrective action, and disciplinary documentation.
- Handle low‑ to mid‑complexity employee relations issues and escalate higher‑risk matters to the HR Business Support Manager.
- Conduct initial fact‑finding for investigations, including gathering documentation and statements.
- Interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure consistent understanding and application.
- Partner with the Leave Administrator to support FMLA, ADA, and other leave processes through communication, tracking, and follow‑up.
- Support managers through organizational changes, including communication and implementation steps.
- Assist with workforce processes such as job changes, compensation questions, performance management, and internal movements.
- Use HR systems to process transactions, maintain accurate records, and support data and reporting needs for client groups.
- Monitor HR data trends (turnover, attendance, ER activity) and share insights with the HR Business Support Manager to inform proactive strategies.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Employee Operations, Payroll, and other HR teams to ensure cohesive support for assigned departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, or other related field preferred.
- Minimum three years current experience in a similar position.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills with specialized knowledge of human resources subfields including, employee relations and compliance, compensation and benefits, human resources administrative functions and affirmative action and equal employment opportunity.
- Ability to prioritize, work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple initiatives at one time and deliver commitments on a timely basis.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, follow-through, drive for results and initiative with the ability to bring issues to closure.
- Proven and strong collaboration skills with key partners and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Experience with UKG preferred.
- Credit union or other financial industry experience a plus.
