About the role

  • Operation and further development of our energy management system
  • Advising and supporting site operations on all matters related to energy efficiency and CO2 reduction projects
  • Supporting an industrial site on its path to climate neutrality
  • Assisting with the collection, analysis and evaluation of energy data
  • Supporting the energy-economic optimization of Glencore Nordenham
  • Securing public funding for energy efficiency and sustainability measures as well as for research projects
  • Conducting audits and training in the energy field

Requirements

  • University degree with a focus on energy, environmental engineering, or a comparable qualification/training (e.g., technician, master craftsman with relevant qualification)
  • Ideally, initial practical experience in energy management, energy efficiency or CO2 reduction, preferably in an industrial company
  • Basic experience working with energy management systems (e.g., according to DIN EN ISO 50001) and in analyzing and evaluating energy data is advantageous
  • Very good Excel skills to efficiently collect, analyze and evaluate energy data
  • Fluent German and business-fluent English
  • Strong self-motivation to continuously improve and implement processes
